Question by 11/2/10 We Have the House: Someone just said the Model 70 bolt action is what bolt actions are compared to, isnt that Mauser?
that Blot-Action rifles are compared to? As far as bolt-action Rifles go.. Im in Florida, so id have to 1) buy from an Ohio resident IN Florida, or 2) Go to Ohio and show my ID to a Non-FFL seller to purchase one, right?
I was thinking of buying a Marlin Model 60 or 65, IIRC. Nice little rifle. I shoudl be able to do so within the law as I have an Ohio ID that is valid and im 28 in one of the two aforementioned circumstances, right? (If i buy in FL it would be “illegal” i suppose, since im Ohio “Resident” legally, yes? Unless the other PARTY is from Ohio too..)
Best answer:
Answer by MJ The pre-1964 Model Ȧ used a Mauser type action with controlled round feeding. Post 1964 Model 70′s were redesigned and do not use a Mauser type action.
The Ruger Model 77 uses a Mauser type action.

Answer by Mark There is no “amount” that defines a bribe. I’ve always remembered a certain line from the first season of Law & Order in which ADA Ben Stone told a city building inspector that he suspected her of taking a bribe from an underworld figure and he told her (and her lawyer) “Any public official who accepts ANY gift — I don’t care if it’s as little as a cheese danish — for the purpose of influencing the performance of their official duties, is guilty of accepting a bribe.”
That IS the difference between a campaign contribution and a bribe: not the amount of the money, but the purpose of the money. If we knew that on Jul 31, 2011, Rep. Colin Peterson was *of a mind to* vote for a bill that would increase penalties on polluters, but then on Aug 2 he accepted that check from Monsanto for $ 9,999, and then cast his vote on Aug 4 against the bill, then we would know what the purpose of the contribution was, right?
